Fifth grade science students have started learning about our solar system. Their new assignment is to start observing the night sky as we will track the moon and planets. Many kids have asked about an APP to help. There is one for phones and tablets called Sky View Lite that is free for them to observe. I have included the photo to help families find the app to see what's happening in our night sky.

Third graders are working on their Flat Stanley project by making their very own Stanley using our kid safe sawing and cutting tools (Make-do tools and the Chomp Saw). Lots of students have already mastered how to use our kid friendly table saw for cutting out their fine lines.

Fourth grade STEAM classes have been using KEVA wooden planks to create roller coasters using only gravity to move the ball. They had specific criteria to follow and movements the ball needed to complete. It's been amazing to listen to the team conversations, changes in designs and creative ideas to make an exciting roller coaster run. We have had a few towers fall over, but the students did not let that stop their creative thinking.
