The District will comply fully with all applicable federal and state laws governing reasonable accomodation, including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act, the NYS Human Rights Law, Family Medical Leave Act, and any other relevant statutes or regulations. The Distict is committed to administering its own telecommuting policy in a fair, consistent manner when addressing accomodation requests.
The District shall adhere to all federal and state legal requirements pertaining to disability accomodations, leave and workplace flexibility. The District will engage in an individualized interactive process with any employee who requests a reasonable accomodation, in accordance with state and federal guidelines and laws. These will be tailored to the individual's documented need, and subject to periodic review. Decisions regarding the grant, modification, and denial of a reasonable accomodation request will be made by the Human Resources Department in consutation with the employee's supervisor, and when necessary, legal counsel or medical experts.
