Perry Browne teachers engaged in professional learning with Advancing Literacy through Columbia University. Staff Developers were able to model lessons, coach, and offer best instructional practices around reading. This learning will now transfer to students' literacy skills!

Last week the CARE program had the opportunity to go to the Lackawanna Coal Mine in P.A. Tying into the study of the industrial revolution, and will be refrenced through the year as it connects to environmental topics. Students were impressed by the 1300ft descent into earth!
