Perry Browne School Picture Day will be October 23, 2024!

NEW Chorus Dismissal Time, 3:10 pm Dear Chorus Parents and Caregivers, I’m very excited to work with your students this year. We are going to have a great time making beautiful music together. This year, all ensembles (chorus, band, and orchestra) will rehearse until 3:10 pm, rather than the original 3:00 pm dismissal time. The bus that picks up our students after ensembles will be at Perry Browne at 3:25 pm to take our bus riders home. Mrs. Snitchler will take walkers and Parent Pickup outside and supervise those students until all are picked up. Thank you for being flexible as we work through the beginning of the year. NEW YORK STATE BLUE RIBBON COMMISSION (BRC) ON GRADUATION MEASURES In November 2023, the Blue Ribbon Commission on Graduation Measures presented their recommendations for future diploma requirements to the Board of Regents. Since then, the Department created a vision to implement these recommendations. Meeting attendees will have the opportunity to break into smaller groups to discuss and provide feedback to the Department on their proposed vision for implementing the recommendations of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Graduation Measures. Attention: U.S Senator Gillibrand's Statewide Service Academy Informational Nights: We would like to share with you of Senator Gillibrand’s Regional in person Service Academy Nights, which will take place throughout the State. Attached are our Service Academy Night flyer’s across New York State with further details and information. We hope that you can attend. We welcome students, parents and guardians, and school counselors to attend the Virtual Service Academy Night and meet representatives from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. This event is an opportunity to learn about the unique academic and career opportunities offered through our nation’s service academies. Students who attend the service academies graduate with a top-tier education, strong leadership experience, and a commission as an officer. Moreover, they will join a proud tradition of leadership and selfless service to our nation. A panel of Academy representatives will provide an overview of the admission process, daily life of a cadet/midshipman, and various paths to officership. Attention Tornado Sports Fans: Due to an event at the fairgrounds on Saturday, 9/21/2024, we will not be able to open the gate into the stadium (from the fairgrounds) for the day. Please utilize one of our parking lots at the High School to come and support our student athletes.
