Here are just a few of our students participating in the Gibson Purposeful Penny Collection for Western North Carolina. We are so proud of our students for their dedication to this cause.
In 5th grade Science, we have begun learning about the solar system and the students' curiosity has been sparked! I wanted to share with you information about a FREE app (for tablets or phones) called Sky Guide to help support students' curiosity at home. The app can help them discover more about the solar system and will show what moon cycles we are on, what objects in space are viewable and so much more! I can't wait to hear what they discover! The goal is for them to discover something new about our nighttime sky and share in class.
