Students in the CARE program built their skills of collaboration and communication with “Lego We Do”kits this week with Josh Hough of BT BOCES. Students explored and created robots that demonstrated motion detection, light and movement. These are representative models of different forms of communication in the animal kingdom.

Miss Wynn's class had a lot of fun reading "Turkey Trouble" by Wendi Silvano today! Afterwards, we helped some turkeys of our own by coming up with disguises they could wear to avoid becoming part of someone's Thanksgiving Dinner!

The CARE Program recently visited the Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse. Students in our zoology class partnered with zoo employees to learn about the roles zoos have in preservation and conservation of species. They toured the zoo and explored the variety of biological needs of different animals. This was the launch for the research portion of the project.
