Students from Ms. Smith’s, Ms. Cheeseboro’s, and Mr. Astor’s classes enjoyed an exciting field trip to Roger’s Conservation Center. We learned about different kinds of wildlife and how to identify the tracks they leave behind. As we explored the snowy trails, we spotted lots of animal tracks, including a goose, a squirrel, and even a fox! Finding the tracks in the snow helped us understand how animals move and live in their natural habitats.

In Digital Literacy, our first graders are becoming beginner coders! Students worked as a team to build algorithms using “coding blocks”. Partners used Dash the robot to create and test their own sequences, adjusting their directions if Dash didn’t move the way they expected.
Through these activities, students are building:
- Problem-solving skills
- Teamwork and communication
- Early coding and sequencing skills
