Educators at the Norwich City School District are excited to publish the stories of our courses through our curricular storyboards. Each storyboard is a 30,000-foot view of our courses, told in story or narrative format.
These storyboards, meant for caregivers and our community, stem from each team’s work carefully examining and unpacking their standards and understanding student learning outcomes. They result in a story sequence of what students will learn throughout their experience in each course.
Check them out by visiting our site here: https://www.norwichcsd.org/page/storyboarding-ncsd

The music department needs your help!
Norwich City Schools will be hosting a NYSSMA Solo Evaluation Festival on May 9-10 at the High School. The New York State School Music Association sponsors festivals around the state where students perform a vocal or instrumental solo and receive a grade and comments from a certified adjudicator. We will be hosting approximately 1250 students from our own district as well as those from nearly 50 neighboring schools.
In order for this event to be successful, many volunteers are needed. No musical knowledge is necessary! If you would like to help out, please fill out the google form below no later than Tuesday April 29th.
Google Form: https://forms.gle/VjD91qkB6yAvUgRJA
Please note: Your volunteer assignment and any necessary training will be given at an important meeting for all volunteers on Thursday May 8th from 6:00-7:00 PM in Vocal Music classroom (room 43 at the High School). Please plan on attending.
Thank you in advance for your assistance. Feel free to contact any music department member if you have any questions!
Sincerely,
The Norwich Music Department

Game Day Wednesday, April 16, 2025

Mrs. Smith's Housing and Interior Design class at Norwich High School created playhouses for children using what they have learned about the elements and principles of design. Mr. Greg Thomas, MS Technology Teacher, and Mr. Moutarde's Design and Drawing for Production students created the templates of the houses.
Skylar Romberg, 9th grader said "The housing project was fun because I got to go outside and be creative. It was nice knowing that kids were going to be able to play with a project that we made for them. The whole project was hands on, so that was really fun."
Bryce Wellington, NHS 9th grader said "I enjoyed this project because I liked how the house turned out and I liked that we gave it to little kids".
Thank you to Mrs. Smith for engaging students in this relevant project!

Attention all Juniors!!!
