Norwich City Schools is pleased to announce that for the 2022-2023 school year, the district will continue to provide school meals (breakfast and lunch) to ALL students at no cost. This is made possible through the Federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). We do ask all families to complete the Eligibility Form linked below which is an essential tool that helps us to ensure the district continues to receive its fair share of state aid revenue. https://5il.co/1ht0q

NCSD will be altering the March school calendar and replacing a full day of instruction with a half day of instruction on Wednesday March 8. This change, however, is not for typical professional development for our staff but rather, to attend services and grieve the loss of long time Norwich educator, Mrs. Suzanne Guzewich. While we are cognizant of the potential inconvenience this may create for childcare of our young learners on this unplanned day, we are hopeful for your understanding in this time of loss. Lastly, latchkey will not be open on March 8. However, I have spoken to Jamey Mullen at the YMCA who has assured me that despite this being an unexpected 1/2 day dismissal, that he and his staff will be able to accommodate childcare and programming for any families that require support. If you need support please plan to call the YMCA by Monday March 6th to sign your child up.
