Please help us in welcoming Jon Carey to the High School. I will be teaching in the Special Education Department in the High School. I will also be teaching ELA classes as well as co-teaching US History. I am a graduate of Oxford Academy School District. I attended LeMoyne College where I graduated with a degree in Psychology with a concentration in Special Education. I have taught Special Education for 19 years, most recently at Oxford Academy High School. In my down time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters. I’m over 40 now so my hobbies are mowing my lawn and watching the NY Giants. My family and I love camping at NYS Parks and enjoy being in the woods. I am looking forward to starting the school year in Norwich.

Welcome would like to welcome Roma Matott the High School. Here is a little bit about her. "My homebase will be the High School library. However, I will be working with staff and students at all four buildings. It is a big job, but I am excited for the new year and all the challenges that come with it! I grew up in Potsdam, New York. I have a several degrees: BA from St. Lawrence University (major in French, Spanish and German), a Masters in Library Science (major Children's and YA services) from the University of Pittsburgh, AS in Computer Science from Onondaga Community College, and a Masters in Teaching (elementary grades 1-6). I have been a librarian for over 25 years and have been working mostly in rural education settings for the past 10. Most recently at OHM BOCES School Library System, I created and lead professional development for teachers and librarians. In addition to becoming a member of the Norwich CSD community, I also work part-time for OPALS library automation system and Project Look Sharp, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting media literacy education in schools. Interests? Have you got all day? I like painting fantasy and science fiction miniatures, playing board games and video games, woodworking, quilting, create objects with my 3-d printers and CNC machine, reading, gardening, sewing, Legos, walking my dogs and the list goes on and on."

On behalf of the Norwich CSD Transportation Team, we are excited to welcome back all students to the upcoming 2022-23 school year! Attached are the current bus routes along with estimated AM pickup times. Although a lot of work has gone into ensuring the accuracy of these times, please anticipate a 5–10-minute grace period for the first week of school as there are many variables that can impact our routes, including new student registrations or requests to drop transportation. We will be utilizing corner bus stops within the city limits so if this applies to your student, please have them ready at the closest corner for pickup. We ask all students to arrive at least 5 minutes before their scheduled pickup to ensure we get everyone to school on time! You can find the 2022-2023 NCSD Bus Runs schedule here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1psCSHCo5gBRQu5TQ_Swmk5UpiL2BFi_J/view?usp=sharing As always, call the Transportation Team with any questions at 607-334-1600 X 1600!
