Middle School Parents:
Just a reminder of the Parent Drop off/Pick Up areas. Lately a lot of parents have been dropping off their kids in the bus lanes or the parking lot. Please drop off in designated areas to ensure your child’s safety.
Thank You😊

Research shows that missing 10% of school, or about 18 days in most school districts negatively affects a student’s academic performance. That’s just 2 days a month and that is known as CHRONIC ABSENCE.
NMS students aim to come to school everyday!
See you in school!

High School Technology.
The Construction Systems Class have spent the last two days on a Design Charrette project. Students were assigned architectural, civil engineering and construction roles within a project team. We used the Norwich Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) as our project. Students researched their roles and then participated in a planning meeting with their peers today. Some interesting and impassioned discussions took place! Minutes of the Meeting will be submitted tomorrow!

The Introduction to Engineering Design (IED) class are now finishing the final activity in the launch device project: making a carnival game where prizes can be won for winning launches! Students' have used their previous work to analyze data, iterate their launch device and design a game where only 3-5% of launches will win the big prize. Proper engineering. We also shared our games with staff and students outside the IED class - thanks to all that played. Great job, Techstars!

The Draft & Design Classes further focused on technical drawing this week. This included a Masterclass by Mr. Palmatier using a Pencam and 35-years of technical drawing experience! Students watched, followed and then finished their own drawings. Many of them were excellent!
