Perry Browne science students have been very responsible this month. Third graders learned what crayfish need to survive in their environment and how to handle them safely as to not get pinched! Fourth grades have been taking great notes on rapid land changes on Earth and attempting to make topographic maps and Fifth graders have been watching the night skies tracking the moon and learning about our solar system.

At 11:55 a.m. today, NCSD received a report from the Norwich Police Department that there was suspicious activity on property in close proximity to Gibson. As a result, we immediately entered a shelter-in-place, and all the children outside at recess and PE were immediately moved inside. The Norwich Police Department responded and conducted an investigation resulting in a collaborative decision deeming the safety of Gibson students and staff no longer in question.
We commend our staff for their swift and caring response in ensuring safety for all.
