CARE science student's celebrated Earth Day by cleaning up the quads and back side of NHS of trash, twigs & branches! Students got authentic experiences as we collabrated with Jim Mucha. We enjoyed the opportunity to give to our community by cleaning things up & taking pride!




As I sat in the Chenango County Courthouse courtroom today, while Honorable Joe McBride presided over the championship round of 2023 Chenango County Mock Trial, I was reminded that we, in education, underestimate what kids are capable of, daily. Wow, just WOW. Class, assertion, professionalism,
Verdict....NCSD is named Champion under the tutelage of Mrs. Maggie Gregory and Mrs. Lisa Natoli. The team, undefeated for three consecutive regular seasons, will be honored at Chenango County Law Day on Monday, May 1 at 9:00 a.m. They proceed to the first round of Regional Competition against the Broome County Champions this Thursday, April 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the Federal Courthouse in Binghamton. Thank you for representing the Purple!

The squeals of joy in science continue as third and fourth graders explore with snails and isopods. The fourth graders are engineering "Isopod Dream Homes" for our little critters to climb and hide in.








Mrs. Monroe's class learned about equivalent fractions and how measuring cups and spoons can be different sizes but still equal.


Students in the 3rd grade have been doing an incredible job learning about the Zones of Regulation! With help from Mrs. Arment and Mrs. Gardner, students are learning that all feelings are okay, and that our feelings always fall within one of four Zones—blue, green, yellow, or red. It is important to acknowledge our feelings and then choose a coping strategy to help keep our bodies and behavior in our control.
