We are off to a great start for attendance! School offers opportunities to learn, to build relationships with peers and adults. Research show that missing 2-4 days in the first month can predict chronic absence throughout the year. This year we are all Showing Up Together! If your child struggles with attendance there is support available. Get in touch with your On Track Coordinators if your child needs that support.

This Weeks Athletic Events
Through collaboration with the YMCA, aspiring youth soccer players filled the fields of Gibson and Perry Browne this morning. Thank you to the girls JV/Varsity soccer teams for volunteering their time refereeing the games this morning. Go Purple!

Welcome Back!!
High School Technology - Day 1!
It was great to meet the students back at school today. Some familiar faces back in the classroom, and a great group of new students too!
Today, we spent time making introductions, going over classroom orientation and management, and even had time for some practical tasks. These helped students to get to know each other, while also requiring teamwork, communication, and some initial design/engineering mindset to successfully complete!
High School Technology - Day 2!
A short classroom day today, due to the awesome Purple Picnic in the afternoon!
We made good use of our time this morning though! The IED class completed a bridge building challenge using only Spaghetti, Marshmallows, and tape. The DDP class, using the same materials, had to build the tallest tower they could. The Drone Aviation class spent time preparing our new drones for flying in the near future!
Students have made a great start to the new school year. Next week we will get started with course curriculums, including lots of new projects!
