Three Norwich graduates join the ranks of our faculty this year as we welcome new staff in during our New Professional Induction Program. The newly expanded program, which features 5 days of connecting, inspiring, and empowering, was well received by our newly onboarded staff. More than 20 new staff members were introduced to the District, and all of the supports we offer, including our instructional coaches and mentors. New hires had the opportunity to learn about our Professional Learning Community, and lesson plan, and build procedures and routines as they welcome students in the first few days of school. New professionals had the opportunity to work with their mentors to learn building procedures and routines. Students took center stage during our program, featured on a student panel, as well as showing off their drone aviation skills. Our new professional staff took a bus tour of the district, which highlighted the different neighborhoods where our students live. Throughout the 5 days, our new professionals were introduced to all of the different departments that will support them and their students during their time at NCSD. The New Professional Induction Program will continue with mentoring and instructional coaching throughout the year, as well as the professional learning team time. We thank all of our current staff members who made it a priority to introduce themselves to our new professionals! Welcome aboard!
