Stanford Gibson and Perry Browne:
Please send your child with an extra change of clothing (pants, shirt, underwear, socks) as the nurse’s office is very limited. This will prevent the nurse’s office from inconveniencing the parent/guardian from having to bring in a change of clothes if needed.
Winter Weather:
Please send your child with appropriate winter clothing (i.e., hats, gloves, snow pants and boots).

When to keep your child home:
Temperature of 100 degrees or higher:
Per CDC and NYS guidance, please keep your child home when sick until at least 24 hours after they no longer have a fever, or signs of a fever (chills, feeling warm, flushed appearance, or sweating) without the use of fever-reducing medicine.
Vomiting or Diarrhea:
Student must be vomit and diarrhea free for 24 hours and should be able to tolerate food.
Presenting with signs and symptoms of COVID-19:
Fever, chills, rigors, coughing, shortness of breath, rash, nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, sore throat, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, new loss of taste or smell, fatigue, headache, muscle or body aches, and poor appetite.
COVID-19:
If your child tests positive for Covid-19, please contact the main office (607-334-1600) to report your child’s absence.
The district is offering rapid testing in school for students (based on rapid test availability).
The guidance for Covid-19 changes frequently; if you have any questions, please contact your health provider or school nurse.
Modified/JV/Varsity Sports:
If your child is interested in playing a Modified, JV or Varsity sports, please visit the athletics page and register your child on Family ID.
Per the districts Medical Director, as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics, if you indicate on your child’s sports registration that your child has had Covid-19, you will be required to provide the school nurse with a doctor’s release in order for your child to be able to participate in sports.

Medication at School
If your child requires medication in school, have your child’s physician fill out the medication form below, or an applicable form from their office. The form must be signed by the parent/guardian and health care provider, and then returned to your school nurse.
Please note: All medication must be delivered to the school by an adult. DO NOT send medication to school with your child.
