100th Day of School Gibson Celebrates 100th Day of School
Little Twister's celebrated the 100th day of school on March 5!  Students dressed up for the day by putting 100 items on their clothes or in their hair. Some of the children even dressed up like 100-year-old people! Classes had fun in their classrooms with special activities and counting to 100!

STUDENTS EXPLORE WESTWARD EXPANSION

Students at Gibson are exploring a unit on westward expansion. Throughout the unit, students read and listened to nonfiction books and historical fiction.  Students engaged in discussions about the reasons pioneers moved west and about how hard the trip itself was.

The unit ended with several projects including making butter. They sampled their work after spreading the butter on muffins. Students also discussed toys and activities kids would have played with in the 1800s., and they made their own spinner toy to have fun with a hobby of the past.

PRE-K CLASSES "TRAVEL" TO DISNEY
Some of the Pre-K classes took a very special trip to Disney World! They spent the day in the most magical place in the world with friends and many of the Disney characters! Students enjoyed rides and watching parades.

The children used play money to buy there own souvenirs and snacks.  The day ended with a fireworks show and a trip back home to families! It was the best day ever!
