Skype brings NMS, Dr. Goodall together

Norwich Middle School students participated in a live Skype event with famed scientist Dr. Jane Goodall on Tuesday, April 9 in the NMS Library.

Students learned about Dr. Goodall’s groundbreaking work with chimpanzees in Tanzania’s Gombe National Park and her conservation efforts.

At the age of 85, Dr. Goodall no longer participates in research. Instead, she spends all but a few days of the year traveling to promote Roots and Shoots, a global community-action program led by youths.

Students around the world had a chance to pose with Dr. Goodall via Skype after the presentation (see ours below). For more information on Dr. Goodall and her work, visit her website http://www.janegoodall.org/
