Dear Parents and Guardians,
Last week at the Board of Ed meeting, we discussed the potential for our schools to hold half-days on the 21st and 22nd of December, next Monday and Tuesday. We were waiting until we knew the impact of the incoming storm before we made the decision. Weather reports are now saying that we will have a moderate impact of 4-6 inches on Thursday with the snow starting Wednesday evening. We are happy that we will not have a multi-day event as our neighbors to the south will unfortunately have.
The Board of Education meeting will be canceled on Wednesday evening, due to the incoming storm. There is a possibility that school will be closed on Thursday as well. More information will follow as the time gets closer.
As we usher in the holiday season, we will be holding half-days on Monday and Tuesday, the 21st and 22nd of December. The holiday vacation begins on Wednesday the 23rd. Dismissal times for our schools are as follows:
Perry Browne – 10:30 am
Gibson – 11:25am
Middle and High Schools – 12:10pm
I wish you and your families a happy and healthy holiday season. My time as your interim superintendent will be ending as Scott Ryan will be starting as your new superintendent on January 4th. It has been a pleasure working with this special community. I wish you all the best in the years to come.
