SCHOOL CLOSING ALERT

The extended school closing will be in effect until April 14. (Returning on Wednesday, April 15).  Offices are closed.

SPRING BREAK: 
The recent executive order from Governor Cuomo extended the need for instruction over the spring break that is scheduled on the NCSD calendar.  Students will be asked to complete assignments that are scheduled during the window from April 6th through the 13th, on their own schedule to allow for flexibility in learning. The assignments are considered part of the required work within the marking period.

Student Registration

Parents and/or guardians of new or returning students entering the Norwich City School District must complete a registration process prior to the student(s) attending classes. Registration packets are available at the District Office, 89 Midland Dr., Norwich, NY.

To speak with the registrar regarding the registration process, please call 607-334-1600, ext. 5415, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. In addition, the registrar's office is located at 89 Midland Drive in the District Offices of the Norwich City School District.

The following documents must be presented at time of registration:
*Birth Certificate (original BC if student is entering kindergarten or has never attended an NCSD school)
*Immunization record for students entering kindergarten
*Proof of residency, which can be one of the following:

• A current driver's license with your legal name and current address
• A cover page from a mortgage agreement showing the property location and buyers' (new owners') names
• A current rent receipt showing your rental property's location, landlord's name, address and telephone number
• A voter's registration card

*If applicable, court-ordered physical placement/custody provisions for said children/child.

Non-Resident Tuition

The following notes the current non-resident tuition rates that have been approved by the Board of Education in accordance with New York State Education Department Non-Resident Tuition Worksheet.

Tuition is due monthly, in advance.

In addition to the information presented, please be advised that, in accordance with Section 3202, subdivision 3 of the Education Law, the School District is required to deduct from this tuition for non-resident students any taxes paid by the parents or guardians for support of this school district.

2019-2020 School Year Non-Resident Tuition Rates

Grades K-6:   $2,427.00 per student  
Grades 7-12: $4,612.00 per student 
Registration
If you have a child who will turn 5 years old on or before December 1, it is time to register for school.
