Food Services Plans for Reopening in September 2020
Students who are attending classes in the buildings will be provided with our traditional meals including breakfast and lunch.  Our menus are available on this webpage each month (lower right) and are labeled to identify the building (SG, PB, MS, HS).

For students attending classes virtually from grades 7 through 12, or those who have chosen virtual instruction in the elementary schools, meals will be provided weekly.  Similar to our food distribution over the summer, NCSD will provide weekly meals for breakfast and lunch on Tuesdays.  Families will be able to come to the high school to pick-up meals starting the first week of school on Tuesday, September 22. (Please note that the high school will be the only pick-up location.)

To make arrangements for your family, or for any questions regarding meals for the reopening of our schools, please contact Delores Shalna at [email protected]

No-Cost Meals Offered to NCSD Students
The Norwich City School District offers no-cost breakfast and lunch to every student on school days during the 2019-2020 academic year.
NCSD qualifies for the Community Eligibility Program to provide universal (no cost) breakfast and lunch to all of its students, regardless of economic status. No paperwork is necessary as all registered students attending Stanford Gibson Primary School, Perry Browne Intermediate School, Norwich Middle School or Norwich High School are eligible for these no-cost meals.
The CEP started on the first day of school, September 5, 2019. The no-cost meal program features more fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as a redesigned menu with more quality options for our kids. Each NCSD student is entitled to one breakfast and one lunch every school day at no cost.
The NCSD Food Service team continues to offer snacks for students in grades 3-12. Snacks must be purchased as they are not part of the no-cost meal program. For more information, email NCSD Director of School Food Services Dee Shalna at [email protected].
