The primary duty of the School Bus Aide position is to establish behavior of the students on the School Bus and to assist the School Bus Driver with the transportation of students. Managerial
Dispatcher

POSITION:
The Dispatcher position requires good knowledge of the geographic area served by the program; working knowledge of the  ADA requirements pertaining to public transportation; skill in  Interacting with people under difficult circumstances; ability to speak clearly and effectively; ability to maintain records; ability to efficiently and economically plan vehicle routes from passengers’ requests; and tact, patience, and dependability.
 
Applicants must meet the following requirements a) One year of supervisory experience in transportation; or b) two years of  experience in scheduling/routing of drivers; or c) three or more years of working in a transportation environment. Also, applicants must be eligible for the appropriate level of NYS Driver License; be at least 21 years of age and satisfy the requirements for School Bus Driver underNYS Department of Education Regulations.
 
Applicant must pass a required Civil Service Exam.
