Stanford Gibson Primary School has new Hope, not to mention Kalei and Sasha. The three purebred puppies officially started their careers as therapy dogs on April 30 in the Norwich City School District under occupational therapists Jennifer Parker and Cathie Heggie.  "They can do a million things here,” Parker said of therapy dogs working in the district, which started more than a decade ago with a Yellow Labrador Retriever named Faith. “They do different things based on the ages of the students, but they’re for any kid in the district."
Golden Retrievers Hope, Kalei and Sasha are the new kids on the block thanks to Norwich residents Scott and Karen Eddy, who donated the puppies to the district after back-to-back litters. Sasha is a year older than Hope and Kalei, who are 2018 littermates. Hope joined veteran Faith and OT Parker at Stanford Gibson on Monday, when Sasha and Kalei debuted with OT Heggie at the middle and high schools.
