NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS

SCHOOL TAX COLLECTION

Tax bills will be mailed out the last week of September.  The FIRST half is due NO LATER than October 31, 2012 and the SECOND half MUST be received NO LATER than April 1, 2013. 

Reminder, you will receive ONLY ONE bill which will include the SECOND HALF payment stub as well. The FIRST HALF payment stub MUST be submitted with your payment, checks should be made payable to:  SCHOOL TAX COLLECTOR.

If you do not receive a bill, please contact the NBT tax office at 607-337-6131.

NEW COLLECTION HOURS & LOCATION

2012-2013 COLLECTION LOCATION & HOURS: The School Taxes will be collected by NBT BANK, 52 South Broad St., Norwich, NY. Hours of collection are: Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.  -  October 1, 2012 through April 1, 2013.

Bank will be CLOSED:   Columbus Day  10/08/12 – Monday
Veteran’s Day  11/12/12 -  Monday
Thanksgiving Day  11/22/12 - Thursday
Christmas Day  12/25/12 - Tuesday
New Year’s Day  1/1/13 - Tuesday
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 1/21/13 – Monday
President’s Day  2/22/13 - Friday

 
PAYMENTS

Payments may be made at the bank during business hours or by mail.  All checks should be made payable to: SCHOOL TAX COLLECTOR.  When paying by mail, a receipt will be mailed to you.  The postmark on the envelope, not the date on the check, is the determining factor when paying by mail at the end of the month.  CASH payments will be accepted ONLY during hours that the bank is open.
