Food Services Department
At the Norwich City School District, we have 20 staff members who serve approximately 500 student breakfasts and 1350 lunches daily. They merchandise and market tasty food presented attractively and prepared safely.
Our menus are structured on a food-based criteria established by the New York State Education Child Nutrition Department. Milk is available for our elementary students to purchase. Further ala carte choices are available at the high school and middle school levels.
Balances: If you have a negative balance in your lunch account, you will not be able to "charge" snack items and/or extra drinks to your account. Also, if you have a negative balance in your account, you will not be able to purchase snack items with cash, until your negative lunch account has been paid in full.You will always be served a meal, regardless of any balance due. |

Exciting news!!
We have a new computer system in our cafeterias called myschoolbucks.com. This system allows parents and/or family members to deposit money into the student's lunch/breakfast accounts electronically using your own computer system. In addition, it allows you to view how your child/children are using the money. You can pay with Paypal, credit or debit cards. Note: A small fee of $1.75 will be charged for using this service.
To access the myschoolbucks website go to: myschoolbucks.com then go to set up account. You will need to do the following: enter an email address, create a password, choose a security question and answer, then you will need the child's STUDENT ID# (not their PIN#) and legal name (nicknames are not accepted). Next to your child's name click VIEW and you will then see all the transactions for that child.
To deposit money into the account, you will need to do the following steps: enter the amount you wish to deposit; click CALCULATE; click MAKE DEPOSIT; choose method of payment and be sure to click PAY NOW. You can print a receipt at the end of the transaction or an email receipt will be sent to you.
Once you have set up the account, you will only need to remember your email address and password. The system is up and running and all information that was entered into mynutrikids.com this year was transferred over to myschoolbucks.com.
